As parents, educators, and members of the community, it’s important to celebrate diversity in sexuality and gender not only during Pride month, but all year long! By learning about the history and the issues which touch the wide spectrum of LGBTQIA+ people in our communities, all of us can be better allies, friends, and colleagues.

Nationwide, many LGBTQIA+ folks, especially transgender people, are tragically still fighting for equality in healthcare and widespread acceptance of themselves for simply existing!
