Classes for Elementary School Students

Our French classes are engaging, interactive, and designed and taught by gifted and experienced bilingual educators. Our goal is to make language learning fun and meaningful and to instill a lifelong love and appreciation for the French language and culture. We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new students soon.

Please Note: We are unable to provide make-up class dates or prorated refunds for children who cannot attend a class. In the unlikely event that the Workshop cancels a class date, a makeup date will be scheduled and communicated in advance.

Beginner/Advanced Beginner French Small Group

(2nd - 5th grade) - Cancelled for Winter/Spring Semester

Maximum Students: 5

This class is geared both towards students who have had little to no French instruction, and for those who have had some exposure to French and are looking to advance their skills. The class is fun, engaging, interactive, light, but rigorous with underlying language objectives embedded into each activity.

Intermediate French Small Group (3rd - 6th grade)

Location: 603 Henry Street, Brooklyn NY 11231 (Workshop Annex)

Dates: January 24th through June 5th, 2024 (18 classes)

Day/Time: Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30p

Cost: $1,350

Maximum Students: 5

Description: This course is geared for students who have at least one year of French instruction. The class focuses on reinforcing four skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing. The class will be fun, engaging, interactive, light, but rigorous with underlying language objectives embedded into each activity. Students will work individually and in groups, role-play, play games, all with the objective of building a strong French foundation. Students can register for the DELF Junior A1 or A2 exam at the Alliance Française at the end of the school year.

*To provide these courses at the price listed, our group class requires a minimum of 2 participants. Please be aware that we may need to increase the price of the class if the minimum number of participants is not met. In the event that there is a price change, you will be given advance notification and the option to continue at the new rate or receive a refund.
