ISEE prep - Tutoring and Group Classes

Many of NYC’s top independent schools require students to take the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam). The ISEE tests students on Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and Mathematics Achievement. Our seasoned instructors help students learn the ISEE concepts and skills they’ll need to succeed, while also building their confidence and motivation.

The ISEE is an admission test that has four levels: A Primary Level, Lower Level, Middle Level, and Upper Level. At Smith Street Workshop we offer 1:1 tutoring sessions for all levels of the ISEE, as well as small group classes for rising 8th graders (in preparation for the Upper Level ISEE).

Curious about where your student currently stands? Help your student pinpoint the areas in most need of improvement by registering for a full-length, ISEE practice test. Students do not need to be enrolled in our program to take a practice test. The ISEE mock test provides students with the opportunity to become familiar with the format of the test, practice pacing strategies, identify content areas/skills to work on, and most importantly, to learn from their mistakes! 

After purchase, we will email you the ISEE practice test booklet, answer sheet, and detailed proctoring instructions. Once your student completes the practice exam, you can simply email the completed answer sheet back to us at Info@smithstreetworkshop.com.

After receiving your student’s answers, we will provide a score report with a detailed breakdown of your student's testing strengths and weaknesses, as well as personalized recommendations for next steps in the preparation process. The score report can be very useful for goal setting, and can help students determine which specific topics and skills to target during their prep.
