7th Grade Common Core Skill-Builder Course (2022)

Ensure that your 7th grader is on track to success this academic year!

While there remains a lot of uncertainty around standardized/state testing this year due to the pandemic, 7th grade remains a pivotal year for students. Many high schools base their admissions criterion on a student’s academic performance in 7th grade. It’s also the year in which students learn the skills and concepts they will need to master for high school entrance exams. Perhaps even more important, the foundational concepts taught during seventh grade will serve as building blocks pivotal to students’ success during their high school years.

SSW’s “7th Grade Common Core Skill-Builder” enrichment course is intended to help 7th graders finish the year strong. Our instructors will cover 7th Grade Common Core curriculum to reinforce key foundational skills in ELA, Math, and Writing.

Whether your 7th grader is preparing for the possibility of Common Core state tests this spring, getting an early start preparing for high school entrance exams, or needs some additional academic instruction to fill in the gaps from this challenging year, this course is appropriate for your student. The curriculum is aligned with the Common Core Standards and designed to provide learning opportunities and enrichment activities to help students master 7th grade skills in both math and ELA.

At the beginning of the course, our instructors will quickly identify and address any instructional gaps and use assessment data to prioritize teaching efforts quickly.

The classes will have a maximum of 15 students. Individual or group sessions for test prep are also available through the tutoring page.
